At Momentum, it is all about people. In our new series 'A Momentum With', we hand the mic to our colleagues themselves: about their role, what they are proud of, and what Momentum means to them. We start with Goosje, programme manager - a role that was essentially built around her.

A role built around you

"Programme manager is a role that was created entirely for me", says Goosje. "That is the great thing about Momentum: they really look at what you are good at and what you enjoy." In practice, that makes for an incredibly varied role. She handles procurement checks and billing runs, produces reports and analyses, and steps in as project manager wherever needed.

"I get to contribute right across the business", she says. And it is precisely that breadth that gives her energy: doing things she is good at and enjoys, every single day.

From three people to seventy colleagues

What is Goosje most proud of? Not one specific moment, but the whole journey. "We started with three people in a tiny office. Look where we are now: in a beautiful building in the woods, with more than seventy colleagues. That genuinely makes me happy and proud."

She started out on the operations side, doing a lot of work around deliveries, and got the chance to grow into a position that spans the entire company. "The fact that I can still grow after ten years - that is really special."

"I never promise miracles. I cannot work magic - but I will give a hundred percent to get things done."

Honest, sincere and a hundred percent

What have ten years at Momentum taught her? "Stay honest and sincere. Show clients and colleagues that you are there for them." Goosje never promises the earth, but she does promise full commitment. "I always say: I cannot work magic, but I will give a hundred percent. You notice that people really appreciate that."

The same fun, the same short lines

And what is Momentum to Goosje herself? "For me it really is the journey. There are so many great moments, but above all: seeing how fast we have grown while still having the same fun and the same short lines with each other. We are still very close."

"That is Momentum to me", she concludes. "The idea of being momentum."

In the coming episodes of 'A Momentum With', we will hand the mic to more colleagues. Read here why we let our people tell you what it is really like to work at Momentum.
