VIP Boarding Experience
*Why so early? We know 7:30 AM is early but there’s a very good reason. By setting sail at dawn, we secure the best possible position to experience the iconic SAIL-in parade as the majestic tall ships enter Amsterdam. Before the crowds arrive and the chaos begins, we’ll already be on the water, coffee in hand, with a front-row seat to one of the most breathtaking nautical spectacles in the world.

Getting to the boat boarding location
There are several convenient ways to reach the boat boarding point during SAIL. Please allow extra time for travel due to expected crowds around the SAIL area.

What else do you need to know?
Breakfast
A varied breakfast will be ready for you on board, including muffins, donuts, currant buns with butter, a sandwich with Limburg Livar ham and lamb’s lettuce, a sandwich with Beemster cheese and apple syrup butter, and freshly pressed orange-strawberry juice.
Bad weather
In case of bad weather, the event will continue partly outside under an additional canopy for shelter, and partly indoors, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone. Although nice weather is forecasted, don’t hesitate to bring a sweater or jacket just in case.
On-time
Please make sure to arrive well on time, as the boat will depart promptly at the scheduled time. We are anuable to board any guests after gate close, even if the boat is still at the dock, so don’t miss the boat!
Lunch
At lunch, enjoy a variety of sandwiches and wraps including brie, chicken, ribeye, and smoked salmon plus warm and cold dishes like butternut squash soup, couscous salad, and sweet potato mash with feta and chicken.
For dessert: Everybody likes chocolate!
What to take with you?
- Your e-ticket (digital or printed) that we will provide prior to the event by email. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have not received this in the week before the event.
- Comfortable clothing and shoes. High heels are not practical or allowed on the boat.
Afterwards
After the boat tour, our event comes to an end and you are free to explore the Sail Village at your own pace with a bite to eat and a drink, or begin your journey home.
